The Boiler SUPREMA and LEONARDO® Flexi is a replacement and additional boiler for the modular SUPREMA and LEONARDO® Flexi product line. It is available in 2 litres and 5 litres and can be used with the Still SUPREMA, the Still SUPREMA Duo and the LEONARDO® Flexi. This makes it possible to extend an existing unit flexibly or to simply replace an existing boiler.
An additional boiler is particularly practical if you work with varying quantities. The 2-litre boiler is suitable for small batches, recipe trials and fine experiments. The 5-litre boiler is useful when larger volumes of mash, hydrosols or plant material need to be processed on a regular basis.
Key benefits
- Fits several units: usable with SUPREMA, SUPREMA Duo and LEONARDO® Flexi.
- Suitable as a replacement boiler: ideal when an existing boiler needs to be replaced.
- Useful as an additional boiler: practical when both boiler sizes should be available.
- More flexibility: the unit can be better adapted to mash volume, plant volume or recipe size.
- 2 or 5 litres: small trials or larger batches are possible within the same product line.
2 litres or 5 litres?
Which boiler size makes sense depends largely on what you mainly want to use the unit for.
- Alcohol distillation: during distillation the boiler should always be at least about half-full. This improves aroma quality and yield.
- First distillation: for the first distillation the 5-litre boiler is usually more useful, because as a rule a larger volume of mash, wine or maceration is processed.
- Second distillation: for the second distillation the 2-litre boiler is often more practical, because less liquid remains after the first distillation and the smaller vessel reduces aroma and alcohol losses.
- Hydrosols and essential oils: if you primarily want to produce hydrosols, the 5-litre boiler is usually the better choice. It offers more space for water and is better suited when larger plant volumes are processed regularly.
- Small trials and recipe tests: the 2-litre boiler is ideal for small batches, initial tests, macerated spirits (Geiste) and fine recipe development with little raw material.
It is practical to have both sizes available: the 5-litre boiler for larger batches, the first distillation and hydrosols, the 2-litre boiler for smaller quantities, the second distillation and trials.
