The volumetric pipette is used to accurately measure and transfer fixed defined volumes of liquid. It is available in 10 ml, 50 ml and 100 ml and is suitable for sampling, analytical work, dilutions and simple laboratory applications.
Available sizes
- 10 ml: for smaller samples and precise withdrawals; also as a spare part for the acetic acid analysis set
- 50 ml: for medium liquid volumes and analytical work
- 100 ml: for larger defined sample volumes
Use
A volumetric pipette is used when the same volume always needs to be withdrawn as accurately as possible. This is particularly important for analyses, titrations and repeatable measurements.
It pairs well with work on the Schmickl vinegar reactor and with acetic acid determination. For simple dripping or transferring tasks, glass Pasteur pipettes or plastic Pasteur pipettes are more practical.
Matching additions
For measurement and analytical work, the measuring cylinder, the beaker, the burette and the wash bottle are well suited.
