The aroma basket is an accessory for distillation applications in which herbs, spices, fruits or other botanicals are to be gently passed through by the vapour. It is particularly suitable for macerated spirits (Geiste), gin, herbal distillation and the production of essential oils and hydrosols.
The aroma basket is also suitable as a spare part or addition for matching distillation units, including the LEONARDO® Classic still, the LEONARDO® Grande still, the LEONARDO® Flexi still, the DELUXE still, the SUPREMA 2 to 5 litre still and the SUPREMA DUO 2 to 5 litre still.

Application
The aromatic ingredients are placed loosely into the aroma basket and the rising vapour passes through them. Volatile aroma compounds can thus be taken up without herbs, spices or fruits being boiled directly.
The aroma basket should not be filled too densely, so that the vapour can pass evenly through the material. After use it should be cleaned thoroughly and dried completely so that no old aroma residues influence the next distillation.
