SKU: 1351 Category:

The separator for heavy essential oils is a practical aid for drawing off essential oils that are heavier than water. After distillation, these oils do not float on top of the hydrosol but collect at the bottom of the bottle. Examples include cinnamon, clove, elecampane root or balsam poplar.

Components

Application

The pipette is used to draw the oil out of the bottle. To do this, the collection bottle is tilted slightly so that the heavy oil phase gathers at the bottom into a larger droplet of liquid. Via the silicone tube and the syringe, this oil phase can then be carefully taken up. This is particularly helpful when the oil and the hydrosol have separated clearly and the oil is to be drawn off cleanly.

The separator is well suited for narrow collection vessels such as the clear glass bottle.

Matching additions

The separator is a particularly good match for producing essential oils with stills such as the LEONARDO® Classic still, the LEONARDO® Grande still, the LEONARDO® Flexi still and the SUPREMA DUO 2 to 5 litre still. For the subsequent storage of small quantities of oil, amber glass bottles or blue glass bottles are suitable.

If fragrance blends are to be applied later, the 2 ml perfume atomiser or the deodorant roller bottle can also be useful.
